Florida on Fire.
On front line of 'biggest show in the state'. The blazes consuming the forests of Volusia and Flager countries have been the worst in the state, overwhelming the Forest service. Local departments from as far away as Dade County (Miami area) have been called in for help. The rest of the state is still plagued by dangerous blazes, with more that 60 fires sprouting daily. Division of Forestry figures about 218,000 acres have burned in Florida this month, affecting every county except Monroe. Helicopters scoop water from lakes and spread it over smoky areas.
