NEW "Wetlands Lookout" in Tampa

Vampire bats, tarantulas and poison dart frogs are just some of the creatures featured in The Florida Aquarium's NEW "Frights of the Forest" exhibit in the NEW "Wetlands Lookout".

"Frights" is the first presentation featured in the Wetlands Lookout, a newly constructed 2,500 square-foot mezzanine space with overlook area. The physical layout of the Wetlands Lookout is designed for easy adaptability to accommodate changing animal displays and includes a large stage area for public programs.

To reach the displays in the "Lookout" visitors climb a staircase along the Aquarium's glass dome where they are rewarded with spectacular views of the Wetlands Gallery and the displays inside the shack. The exit is equally exciting as visitors leave along a shaky bridge across a gator hole.

The presentation is part of an on-going process to enhance visitor experience and the overall quality of The Florida Aquarium. Call the Florida Aquarium for more information at 813-273-4000.
